First Lady Lorie Givins
Executive Pastor / State Supervisor
First Lady Lorie was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She has been a strong and passionate administrator for over 42 years and has worked for the City of Long Beach Fire Department, Long Beach City College and as an HR Administrator for MemorialCare Health System.
Her passion is people! In 2007 she met and married Reginald Givins and is co-founder of the Word of Truth Community Worship Center Ministries.
In December of 2007 First Lady Lorie was consecrated to State Supervisor under Church of God in Christ United and the Word of Truth California Jurisdiction was established. Lady Lorie now serves as the Jurisdictional Supervisor for the State of California and the International Chairlady for the Church of God in Christ United all over the world.
In 2009 being led of the Lord, Supervisor Lorie stepped out in faith and began GWB Ministries (Godly Women Bonding), a women's ministry dedicated to encouraging women to minister to women. To share their desires, their challenges, and their journeys. Equipping them to walk in their Godly purpose.
In September 2011, after relocating Word of Truth to the City of Long Beach. Bishop and Supervisor Givins began the Youth Enrichment Academy and Anchor's of Hope Outreach Ministries. Supervisor Givins serves as the Executive Director for the Academy.
In 2012 Supervisor Givins was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel and her greatest desire is to empower people with the Word of God. She received her Master of Divinity in 2019 and is currently working to complete her Doctorate in Ministry. Lady G, as she is affectionately called wants to teach the Truth of God's Word, see souls saved, lives changed, and to advance the Kingdom of God.
